Services

services overview

Child-Centered, Family-Focused

The Child Development Centre provides a broad range of services at no cost to families.  These services are made possible by  funding from the Ministry of Child and Family Development, generous support from sponsors and donors, and countless contributions from a network of community partners.  Our team collaborates with external agencies and care providers to find effective, comprehensive service plans for every individual child.  In addition, we encourage and support the participation of families — an integral part of the child’s development.

Request for Service Form

Parents and guardians can request service directly, or they can consent to have someone else refer the child on their behalf. Completed forms can be mailed, emailed, faxed or dropped off at the centre. Please call or visit the CDC if you need help with the referral process.

services and programs

Therapy Programming

Most of these services are funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development, and are provided at no cost to families. Services are broken into the following two program areas:

Early Intervention Therapy (for children from birth to school entry). This includes most of our therapy programming.

School Age Therapy. We provide physiotherapy and occupational therapy services for children with medical equipment needs funded through the at-home program. There is no cost to access these services as they are funded by the Province. OT services for other school age children are available for a fee.

The CDC also provides intensive therapy blocks for eligible children under the At Home Program when the Centre has available staffing.

Outreach teams from Sunnyhill Health Centre also provide services at the Centre.
