Kris Kringle Luncheon

Early each December, the Child Development Centre runs the Kris Kringle Luncheon, providing a delightful and delicious way to usher in the holiday season.  The Luncheon has become one of the City's must-attend events. We look forward to seeing you at our next Luncheon, on December 7, 2012.

Kris Kringle was a tremendous success last year.  The Child Development Centre would like to offer its sincere thanks to everyone that attended, the staff that worked so hard to ensure the event's success, and to the many sponsors and donors that make the Luncheon possible.

The Legend of Kris Kringle

Kris Kringle's Scandinavian legend states that in the Christmas season, people would make wishes to God. It was St. Nicholas responsibility to carry their requests up to heaven and present them at God's throne. Kris Kringle was given the privilege of delivering the fulfilled wishes back to the people. Kris Kringle is represented as a Viking at our Luncheon because of his Scandinavian origins.
