Early Childhood Education (ECE)

The purpose of the Early Childhood Education Department is to provide an environment that will support and enrich a child’s development. Studies have shown that the early years shape a child’s future. Every child is an individual and will grow at different rates. Our Early Childhood Educators are trained to provide developmentally appropriate programming for all children. Our programs are inclusive for children with special needs and for children with typical development. The programs will enhance the whole child. We will meet the child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, creative and physical development. Children learn through play. Our fully qualified Early Childhood Educators help to facilitate skills children need to develop into healthy adults. Our Early Childhood Educators follow a Code of Ethics set by our professional organization, ECEBC.

Our program acts as a resource and support to parents. All the classrooms have an open door policy in which parents may experience the day through their child’s eyes. We offer parenting groups in connection with our family service department. Parents are encouraged to participate in our wonderful family events such as the Family picnic, Christmas Party etc.

Daycare

We have daycare spaces for children from 18 months to 5 years of age. These services are available for children of all abilities. It is designed to help develop healthy children with improved developmental outcomes. Our hours of operation are from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm daily. As services are offered within the Child Development Centre, there are many developmental professionals that are available to complement our services.

Our program includes the following :

daily breakfast
developmental assessments and referrals
field trips and community exploration
family social activities and outings
an early education program that includes; art, music, stories, circle times, and opportunities to build friendships
opportunities for parents to receive support, meet other parents, and learn new skills
a safe, friendly place to learn and grow.

Daycare Fees

3-5 years: $650.00/month $35.00/day
18 months to 3 years: $850.00/month $45.00/day

Preschool

The CDC offers inclusive pre-school services for children age 18 months to 5 years old. We employ highly qualified Early Childhood Educators to ensure your child receives age appropriate individual programming.

Preschool Fees:

Two days per week: $110.00 per month
Monday/Wednesday am or pm
Tuesday/Thursday am or pm
